At SJ Eccles and Sons the safety and well-being of our clients is paramount. That's why we use three proven products to safeguard roofs from fire. These are:
Aluminium Barrier Foil
This foil serves as a fireproof barrier and a heat reflective insulator. It contains no flammable material and its strength and fire resistance make it an ideal choice for fireproofing roofs. It's applied in a similar manner to roofing felt with no less than 50mm overlap between each horizontal joint, ensuring rain or fire cannot seep through.
Thatchbatts are high grade, resin bonded slabs, which protect the underside of thatched roofs, whilst also providing thermal and acoustic insulation. When used in conjunction with aluminium barrier foil, they provide a longer timeframe to evacuate in the event of a fire.
Fire Retardant Spray
We use indoor and outdoor fire retardant sprays, providing maximum fire protection for our clients' properties. Once a member of our qualified team has administered the spray, we will provide you with the relevant certification for insurance purposes.
As a further precautionary measure, we always advise clients to ensure they have smoke alarms installed at their property. It's also crucial that they're regularly tested, for your safety and peace of mind.
Remember, if you have any queries relating to fire safety, simply ask us and we'll be happy to advise.
We're able to lend our expertise to projects of any size. To find out how we can help with your thatching requirements, get in touch with SJ Eccles & Sons Master Thatchers.
